GREENWOOD

A GREAT PLACE TO LIVE

By choosing to live in Greenwood, you are choosing to combine the tranquillity of a green environment with proximity to urban life. Living in Greenwood is deciding to take advantage of the high quality of life available in Woluwe-Saint-Lambert.

GreenWood: a great place to live

01

There are several parks in this area, such as Malou Park, a beautiful and popular park with families.”

Mr. Casier,
Greenwood resident

With its many parks and green areas, Woluwe-Saint-Lambert is one of the greenest districts in Brussels.

Children and adults will gladly take advantage of the eight-hectare Parc Malou, to name but one. The park, which is proudly guarded by a lion that can been seen from Boulevard de la Woluwe, is the oldest in the district and has an excellent playground which has just been renovated and pleasant paths along the stream or the lake.

02

Attractive, with plenty of culture

The cultural village Wolubilis is an important location in the district. Throughout the years, it hosts exhibitions, shows, theatre productions and workshops for young and old.

You will find no lack of opportunities to stroll, read or have a meal at Cook & Book, the concept bookshop located just next to Wolubilis and within walking distance of the Roodebeek metro stop. The who’s who of Brussels have been found there in recent years, to find the latest books, comic strips, CDs, gadgets or even games for children.

Markets and shops

03

We have the Woluwe Shopping Center, Delhaize and Cora nearby. We can walk there.”

Mrs. Mariette Evrard,
Greenwood resident

If you like to do your shopping in the open air, Place Saint-Lambert and Avenue Geroges Henri play host to market stalls every week.

On the first Sunday of every month in Place Saint-Lambert there is the opportunity to hunt around for decorations for your apartment, at one of the largest flea markets in Brussels.

Another place not to be missed in Brussels is the Woluwe Shopping Center, where you can find the biggest international brands. If you prefer smaller shops, there are also plenty in the district.

04

University nearby

Your children will be able to study in the district, right from crèche up to university.

Woluwe-Saint-Lambert is where the ULC decided to establish its university and a university hospital.

Indeed, Woluwe-Saint-Lambert is the commune that the UCL has chosen to settle there as well as the Saint Luc University Hospital which guarantees you quality care close to home.

We live near Saint-Luke’s Hospital. It’s very convenient, because we have regular doctors’ appointments there.”

Pick your sport

05

We wouldn’t go walking anywhere else on the weekends. Everything we need we have here.”

Mr. Rotaru and Mrs. Bolohan,
Greenwood residents

Greenwood is a vibrant district.

To stay in shape, you can take advantage of the wide range of sports facilities in the district: swimming pool, ice rink, fitness centres, athletics stadium, tennis courts, football pitches, hockey pitches... the list goes on.

06

Mobility

If Woluwe-Saint-Lambert is renowned for its prestigious arteries and its green and residential living environment, the municipality also stands out for the quality of its mobility offers, whether by metro, bus, tram, car or bicycle... or on foot.

From Greenwood, you can take a profusion of alleys, pedestrian paths and cycle paths. You can easily walk to the nearby shops (Cora, Delhaize, Shopping center...) or stroll to Wolubilis.

Close to the highway and ring road, Greenwood is also within walking distance of many bus lines and the Roodebeek subway station.

It’s the perfect location for me: I can get to the European quarter on the 27 bus in a couple of minutes.”

Mr. Rotaru,
Greenwood resident
